Stronghold Treats little Girl hit by Airstrike
During the month of March, Stronghold’s ambulance crews set up a casualty collection point (CCP) near the site of a major battle between pro-democracy freedom fighters and the Burma Army. Over three weeks, Stronghold medics treated 50 people — both soldiers and civilians — wounded by the Burma Army.
One of those people was a 4-year-old girl. She was injured when the Burma Army hit her village with airstrikes. The explosions killed her pregnant mother and struck her in the head — nearly killing her too.
The little girl’s clothes were covered in her own blood so the Stronghold team dressed her in a clean Stronghold shirt before evacuating her.
Thank you to all of our supporters for enabling us to serve people like this little girl.
